Richland Arms Company was based in Blissfield, Michigan from the 1960s to the mid 1980s. The company imported a range of Spanish and Italian shotguns, rifles and revolvers. Most of their revolvers were made by Palmetto, Armi San Marco, Rigarmi or Pietta and their longarms and pistols were either Jukar or Ardesa. Some of their rifles carried the double diamond stamp of MOFRA, which became EUROMANUFACTURE.
According to the book "Blissfield" by Bob Barringer, Thomas Hoagland Jr. founded the company. The family was previously established in Blissfield with their Richland Furs business. In the mid-1950's, Thomas Hoagland's travels made him aware of quality, European made firearms just as the replica firearm industry was getting started. Richland Arms Co. was the result, first as a separate partnership, and later, as the sports department of Richland Furs, Inc. The company remained in operation until 1990 when Richland Furs, Inc closed.
